I recently purchased a bx2200 with 180 hours on it - virtually new. After about 15 hours of use I noticed fuel dripping on my left rear tire. I removed roll bar and fender to inspect the fuel cell and what I found was fuel coming out from around what I expect is the sending unit for the fuel gage. The unit slips into a rubber boot which goes into the fuel cell, but the is no visible bolts or other method to hold it down...hence the leak. I put some silicone sealer around the boot, and no further problems yet. Is this all I can do or has something fallen off the tractor that would otherwiae serve to hold this on.

Thanks

This was a widespread problem on early models. I think the factory redesigned and replace the tanks. Might want to check with a dealer for possible recall benefits. ....

Thanks for the info concerning fuel cell sensor leaking problem. Went to the dealer where it was purchased new and they provided a kit for correction without charge. Got around to installing it this past weekend and naturally the job which should have taken a couple hours dragged out to the better part of five or so. Biggest difficulty was trying to turn the set screws that locked the modified sensor into the fuel cell. Ended up having to heat a screw driver with a torch to put a 90 degree bend in the tip so I could reach the screws under the frame.

Thanks again for your info ....
